St. Jude: Making A Difference

FINDING CURES, SAVING LIVES.
Since St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® opened its doors in 1962, it has changed the way the world and treats pediatric cancer. Shaw and our retail partners are strong supporters of the organization’s mission to improve the overall childhood cancer survival rate - donating more than $10 million since 2012.

St. Jude is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center solely devoted to kids. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Shaw's Team at the St. Jude Marathon Weekend 2018THE KINDEST HEART.
Longtime supporter and our own St. Jude Hero, Scott Sandlin, Shaw Senior Vice President, just ran his fourth St. Jude Memphis Marathon in support of its life-saving mission. A model of inclusive leadership and competitive spirit, Scott took his fundraising commitment to new levels this year with an open invitation to the sales team and customers to participate in the greater Shaw team. More than 50 associates, family members and customers traveled to Memphis for the emotional and celebratory event. The team had a great race weekend knowing all of their hard work is making a difference in children’s lives every day. The group raised more than $92,000 - a new record for Shaw, now ranked 3rd for corporate teams in America.
